I have had the misfortune to work with Vista on my laptop for 2 years. It is very bad, and I have had lot's of problems with programs crashing for no good reason other than running on a Vista PC. Further more the "blue screen of death" has teased me many times, and always when I have made something really important (murphy's law I suppose).I have now switched to Windows 7 which seems a lot more stable.
It works as advertised and as I expected it would. Only for those with the brains to use it. This item is what was advertised and what I ordered. It has met and/or exceeded all of my expectations. I do recommend this to anyone that may be in the market for or in need of such an item.
I was thrilled at the speediness of the seller, however this version specifically is considered an MDSN version so it doesn't qualify for windows 7 upgrade (even though on microsoft's eligibility website it doesn't have anything regarding MDSN restrictions). Eitehr way, Vista blows. I ended up buying a copy of Windows XP because it requires a fraction of the resources to run as opposed to Vista. I RECOMMEND THE SELLER, HOWEVER THE PRODUCT IS GARBAGE.
I own Vista Ultimate for almost 6 months and I must say that at the beginning it was working ok. It is a bit ironic that things are not going toward better. and support, as most users observed is worse too, as they will charge you pretty much for something what is their (programming) error. I tried to find some common solution to this problem, but it simply doesn't work. now all goes toward getting money from users that have certain expectations from so called reputable company. Information I found by now is related to some weird memory content dumping that blocks complete pc from working, what is very very annoying when you work on something important. As time was passing and all that bunch of patches was added, it started to become unstable and more and more often annoying error in the form of freezing pc started to take a place. than toward worse.
I must acknowledge that previous version of windows. Windows XP was way more stable than any MS OS ever made. Somewhat, licensing in MS world lost its purpose. But after all, it MS continues to go this way, they will use that reputation as well as well domination over market with their junk software.
Have to say I prefer XP over Vista. Vista even set in classic mode does not show the progress of some programs like defragmenter. Vista is also lacking the internet games I enjoy with XP.
